My name is Valerie Biasini (Bee-uh-see-knee). I attended Texas Woman's University (TWU) receiving my BS in 1989 and Texas A & M in Commerce, Texas receiving my Masters in Education in 2002. My love in teaching is in Special Education and I have taught several different types of Special Education classes. I have been teaching the Fundamentals / Life Skills class for 16 years of my teaching career. I have been at Alvin Jr. High for 6 years and was honored to be chosen as Teacher of the Year 2015-2016 school year. I have taught Special Education for 26 years and have worked with students, who have a variety of disabilities and syndromes. I work hard in helping children achieve the most in academics, social understanding, behavior and functional skills. We will be utilizing a variety of learning strategies in my classroom including technology. It is important to have good communication with parents. My husband, Michael (Mr. B.) also works in Alvin ISD at Harby Junior high, Fundamentals/ Life Skills class. I have 2 children. Drew goes to University of North Texas (UNT) and will graduate in December 2016. Matthew attends HCC VAST program in Stafford and will earn a certificate at the end of completion in the program 2017.
My planning period will be determined once schedules are finalized. Last year it was 3rd period.
