    About Me

I was born in Webster, Texas but raised in Alvin my entire life. Attending Alvin Primary, Alvin Elementary, Alvin Jr. High, and Alvin High School, I am lucky enough to come back and now teach in Alvin ISD. I graduated from the University of Houston - Clear Lake with my B.S. in Accounting. I decided that I wanted to be teaching instead of sitting at a desk everyday, so I got my teaching certification. I started teaching at C.E.P. which was an alternative program for Houston ISD students. In 2013, I was hired on in Fort Bend ISD and moved through 3 different schools, but for the last 3 school years taught at Jan Schiff Elementary in Missouri City as a 4th grade ELA, Reading, and Social Studies teacher. This will be my 4th year at Fairview Jr. High and look forward to the 2019-2020 school year. My husband, James, and I have been married for 12 years. We have two baby girls, Ella (7 years old) & Emma (5 years old), that make everyday interesting. I believe that every student I have the opportunity to teach and interact with is treated just like I would want my children to be treated and have nothing but their best interest in heart.
