About Me Welcome to Chemistry! Chemistry is the study of matter: what matter is, how it makes up everything in the universe, and what rules/guidelines it follows. We are going to have a great year, and learn a ton! I'm Mrs. Tran and this will be my 16th year teaching. This will also be my sixth year in Alvin ISD since I had the privilege to be a part of opening Shadow Creek High School! I graduated from the University of Texas-Austin in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Composite Science teaching certificate. I have experience teaching IPC, Chemistry, and Biology. My wonderful husband, Robert, and I have one child and two cats in our household. I am one of the co-sponsors for the "Nerd Herd Club". I am also the sponsor for the Lion Dance Team.
