    My name is Marilyn Rodriguez and  I look forward to a great year of learning new things with your child!  I teach Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Terminology. 

    I hope you will find me adequately trained to teach yourchild.  My background is varied.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.  I also received a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Texas.  I am trained and hold a state license inAthletic Training and am a former EMT Basic.  I have also been a CPR Instructor for 33years. Prior to becoming a teacher I worked at Baylor Hospital in Dallas and Hermann Hospital in Houston.  My teacher certifications include the subjects of: Biology, Health, Business, Health Science Technology, Life Sciences (and Drivers Education!) . I’m proud to be a member or the Alvin High School Class of 1980. Jacket Pride Never Dies!!

    This is my 26th year at Alvin High School. I will continue to serve as Co-Sponsor of Health Occupation Students of America club here at AHS and Sponsor of the AHS Hispanic American Leadership Organization (H)
    I love to spend time with my family, jog, swim and read anything that will help me to teach your child.

    Finally, I am married to a teacher/coach (Danny Rodriguez)and have 2 children, Becca and Jack.  Becca will be a Senior at Texas State University while Jack is starting his third year at Texas State University also.
