Mrs. Jackson

Welcome to 3rd Grade Alvin Virtual Learning (AVL). I will be your child's English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) teacher this year. This will be my 13th year as an educator. I began my career in my hometown of Milwaukee, WI. My family and I made the big move to Texas 10 years ago. That is also when I continued my journey as an educator with HISD. Eventually, I was blessed with an opportunity to transfer to Alvin ISD and I am entering my 6th year here. I have experience teaching all subjects in grades k-4, however I would say that I have found my niche in ELAR. I recieved my Bachelors of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Marquette University and later obtained my teaching certification from Cardinal Stritch University, both in Milwaukee. I also have a Masters of Education degree in Educational and Administrative Leadership from Lamar University.

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and our 5 children. We enjoy traveling, baking, and having family movie nights. We have a family goal of visiting all 50 states together and so far we have gone to 23 states! I look forward to continuing our travels really soon. When I can find a few moments of alone time I enjoy reading, listening to music, and online shopping.

I know this school year will be unlike any other we have experienced, however I am confident that with your your help and partnership, it will be successful and enjoyable. If you ever have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I can be reached via email at or by phone 281-245-3232.
