    I am a physical education teacher and assistant cheer and tennis coach at Alvin High School. I graduated from AHS in 1998 and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas Woman's University in December 2001. I am currently working on my Masters of Education in Administration through Lamar University. I was on the gymnastics team in both high school and college, which led me to my first career in physical therapy. I worked in PT for eight years before changing paths and becoming a teacher. I am now beginning my 13th year of teaching, all at AHS, and 21st year of coaching. I taught biology, chemistry, PE, and coached gymnastics for 18 years (club and at high school from 2009-2020) before venturing into the cheer and tennis world. I have been married for 17 years and have two wonderful boys. My oldest son is 13 years old and begins 8th grade this year and my youngest son is 8 years old and will be in third grade. I am excited about the upcoming year and I hope I can help each student reach their potential.
