Hello! I'm Ms. Blackwell and I am going to be your fifth grade teacher! This will be my eigth year teaching as a member of the Passmore family and my thirteeth year as an educator. I have served a majority of my teaching career in Alvin. My experience also includes years teaching overseas in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and summers in Ethiopia. It was an incredible journey! I love teaching, learning, and growing with my students! I am truly honored to be your teacher!

I grew up in Friendswood, Texas and have three sisters and two brothers. We enjoy spending time together on the weekends, swimming, and playing games. I went to college at Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated in 2010. I also returned to SFA and earned my Masters in Educational Leadership in 2017. My husband and I are blessed with our eight year old son Maddox, our three year old daughter Brooklyn, and our two year old daughter Brielle. They are our whole world! Maddox loves football, Roblox, Naruto, playing with his sisters, and spends most of his days swimming! Brooklyn loves laughing at her silly brother, playing, and running all over the place! Brielle loves singing, smiling at her siblings, and is talking more each day!

As you can see in our classroom I love, love bright colors (yellow and teal are my favorite)! I enjoy fishing, scuba diving, walking, photography, and reading. I like collecting things with the letter B or Blackwell for my classroom and home. I love peanut butter M&Ms and Dr. Pepper from Sonic!
