Welcome to the new school year!!!

This is my fifth year teaching at Manvel High School and my 23nd year teaching all levels of Chemistry. I love working at Manvel High School. I am very excited about my classes this year. I believe a classroom should be a place where students feel comfortable, safe and valued. It is a place where students should feel excited and interested about learning and confident about asking questions and expressing their views. Mavel high school is a place where colleagues collaborate to provide excellent quality education and responsible guidance. Manvel is where I belong and I accept my teaching responsibilities with a great sense of accountability to the students, parents, community, and the AISD leadership.
I believe in my students. I believe that every student is unique and has the potential to do wonders. With proper guidance and support every child can learn and excel. I am looking forward to working with you!!

    SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR THIS CLASS
    1.  A big fat note book—We need a fat notebook for daily warm-ups, class notes and daily classwork, having your composition note book with you will make discussions and activities much more understandable.

    2.      Lab  note Book—there will be extensive lab work throughout the course and these activities must be done in the lab book if they are to be graded.

    3.      Calculator—Students will need a “non-graphing” scientific calculator in class daily and during tests.

    4.      Three ring binder—throughout the school year you will be given many handouts. You will find it very helpful to keep a notebook for studying/organization.
