I was born in Corpus Christi, but spent the majority of my youth outside of the U.S. in Norway, Cameroon, Indonesia and Scotland before returning to Texas during my last year of High School. I attended the University of Houston and received my BFA and MFA in Photography. I live with my husband, Patrick Phipps (and our giant cat, Morty) in a 1930s brick bungalow near downtown Houston. My son Alec is a student at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. In my free time I like to look at art, photograph (natch!), cook, and make things. We're currently building a studio behind our house, where I hope to teach darkroom photography. You can see some of my current work on my website,
