SeaPerch is an engaging underwater robotics program supported by the United States Navy and the Association of Unmanned Vehicle International Foundation. This after school activity allows students the opportunity to build Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) and complete underwater challenges designed to simulate real world scenarios. As Alvin Junior High enters its second year in the SeaPerch program, we hope to build on the recent success of last year. We are proud to say that, in our pilot year, our SeaPerch team The Aquabots won third place in The Heist Challenge at the SeaPerch Nationals competition.
If a student is interested in joining SeaPerch, they will need to complete a paper application which will be distributed by their science teacher. The application will need to be completed by the student and parent for consideration. While we wish we could take every student who is interested, we are limited by the number supplies available. All applications need to be returned to _______ who are the SeaPerch Campus Sponsors for Alvin Junior High.
