    A little about me.....
I am excited to be experiencing my 22th year as your Health Science instructor at Alvin High School.  As your teacher, I hope to learn from you just as much as you learn from me!

My background is in dental hygiene where I worked full time for 20 years before starting my career in teaching.  I still practice dental hygiene on school holidays and I even taught dental assisting at night at Alvin Community College.
But I love learning new things most.  I have spent time learning about nanotechnology, genetics, bioengineering and much more. I am most proud of the two medical/dental mission trips to Nicaragua that I made.
My hobbies include spoiling my seven grandchildren, spending time with my husband of 40 years, caring for my 87 year old mothershopping with my four daughters, hanging out with my nine brothers and sisters, singing, participating in musical theater shows and working as a prison volunteer.  Of course, I am also devoted to HOSA, our organization for future health care workers.
