Term expires 2019Nicole Tonini was elected to Position 5 for a three-year term beginning May 2013. She and her husband, Geoff, have lived in Alvin Independent School District since 2004 and are the parents of five children, all of whom attend Alvin ISD schools. She is highly active in her children’s academic, fine arts and sporting activities as well as their local church in Pearland. Mrs. Tonini has been involved in various community organizations, including membership in the Manvel Booster Club and serving as both president and vice president in the Mary Marek Elementary PTO. She has also served on various fundraising committees in several Alvin ISD schools.

Mr. Humbird graduated from Alvin High School in 1977. He is employed as an operator at Basell. Mr. Humbird and his wife, Kathy, are the parents of three daughters. He and his family are active members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Vivian Scheibel, Position 7

Vivian Scheibel was elected to Position 7 for a three year term in May of 2014 and was reelected in May of 2017. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is a professional in the technology industry. Mrs. Scheibel and her husband, Randy, have two sons and a grandson. They have lived in Alvin ISD since 2004 and their youngest son is an Alvin ISD student. Mrs. Scheibel has been involved in community and sporting organizations and is very involved in their church in Pearland, where she serves as a Sunday School teacher.
Cheryl Harris, Position 3

Email Mrs. HarrisCheryl Harris was elected to a three year term in May 2012, and was reelected for an additional 3 years in May 2015 and May 2018. Harris is the Co-Chief Operating Officer for Imagine Enterprises, a non-profit that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. She received her Applied Science degree from Alvin Community College in 1987. Mrs. Harris and her husband Mark are the parents of two daughters, Shelby a student at the University of Houston at Clear Lake, and Hailey who attends Texas A&M University. Mrs. Harris has been involved with multiple booster clubs while her daughters attended Alvin High School, and is a member of Sunrise Rotary of Alvin and Soroptimist International of Alvin.

Regan Metoyer Peterson was elected to Position 2 for a three year term which began May 2012. She was reelected in May 2015 for another 3 year term and again in May 2018 for another 3 year term. Regan has worked in higher education for more than 18 years, and is currently a college administrator at Alvin Community College, where she also obtained her Associates of Arts degree. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston, and her Master of Arts in Behavioral Science from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Metoyer Peterson is the mother of two children. One is a graduate of Alvin HS and the other attends elementary school in Alvin ISD. She is an active member of Rotary, Soroptimist International, and has also been a board member at the Thelma Ley Anderson Family YMCA.

Tiffany Wennerstrom was elected to Position 4 for a three year term in May 2010, and again in May 2014. Mrs. Wennerstrom graduated from Texas A&M University and is a former teacher. She and her husband, Johnny, are the parents of two children and are active in school booster clubs and the First United Methodist Church of Alvin.

Julie Pickren was elected to Position 1 for a 3-year term in May 2015 and another 3-year term in May 2018. Pickren is a local business owner who volunteers as the nursery director at her church. She and her husband, David, have two sons, Miles, who attends 1st grade in Alvin ISD and Tyler who is in Pre-K. She has lived in the Pearland/Manvel area for the past 9 years, and is a strong advocate for children. She believes that all students matter, and as a Board member plans to help empower teachers by providing them with the tools and resources necessary to help students achieve success. It is her priority that every student has a safe, structured, and exciting learning environment to prepare him or her for their future.
