    About Me:
I have been teaching since 1993 with all but 5 years in Alvin ISD. During the five years, I was in Pearland ISD, I was named the District's Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2011.  It was an honor and a privilege to be chosen, but being born and raised in Alvin, I knew my heart was telling me I needed to come home.  I have one daughter who is a para at Friendswood Junior High. She blessed me with my first grandchild in January 2021. My love for teaching truly keeps me going.  I have a love and passion for English, Reading, and children.  I look forward to bringing that love to the classroom and hope that my students can take away some of that enthusiasm and passion.

NEEDED Supply List for my Pre-AP classes:  1 composition book, pens/pencils/highlighters, 2 boxes of kleenex, markers, map pencils or crayons, and you will be purchasing novels for the school year. Novels are listed on the APA syllabus and English 2 syllabus

Parents and Students, please sign up for free text reminders through Remind 101 from me.  I will send text messages with important information to you when tests are coming, important dates are nearing or just information you may need to know, or maybe news that hasn't reached you yet. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Also, please sign up for Google classroom. These are two ways to stay on top of your work. Thank you for joining the fun and helping keep the lines of communication open.
