    About Me
     
    My name is Lauren Chaffin. I graduated from University of Houston - Clear Lake in December 2002. I have worked for Alvin ISD since 2003. I taught 1st grade at Stevenson Primary for five years. The next couple of years I spent teaching at Alvin Primary. I taught one year in 2nd grade and another in 1st grade.  I taught four years at Longfellow Elementary! I am very blessed to start a new year here at Hasse Elementary! This is my 18th year teaching and I  love what I do!
     
    I have two daughters who are my little blessings! I love to read, shop, draw, and spend time with my family. We like to go out to eat together on the weekends. Mexican food and anything chocolate are some of my favorite things to eat!
     
     
    Parental Involvement 
     
    I believe that you and I are partners in your child's education. If we work together, I feel your child will have a very successful first grade experience. I welcome help in the classroom. Anything from sorting construction paper to cutting out lamination are very helpful.
     
    I can't wait to start this school year! I hope that your child will have a fun time learning all things 1st grade!
