    Sting Magazine

For a few years the newspaper staff at Alvin high school had transitioned into publishing news stories using only an online format. While this is is definitely an up-to-date format for our current generation, we felt that our stories were not getting out to much of the student population.
In 2015 the student staff members of the Clarion newspaper production class printed their first newspaper in almost three years. After much positive feedback and some general suggestions in format, the staff made a bold decision to switch gears and begin printing their hard copy stories into a full color magazine style publication rather than a black and white newspaper format.
This decision proved to be highly popular among students and staff members. The first edition of The Sting magazine was released in May of 2015. In the 2016 school year a Fall edition was published in December and a Spring Edition will focus on Seniors in May.
