• Band Update 8/18/2020:

    Dear Rodeo Palms Band Parents,

Here is some information about the 2020-2021 school year. We appreciate your patience as there are many changes to all aspects of band. We are working diligently to incorporate the new protocols for face to face learning while setting up a virtual curriculum. We will be updating many things weekly, and in some cases daily. Here are important items organized by grade:

    6th Grade Beginning Band:

    • If you have ordered an instrument from one of our vendors: Music and Arts or H and H

      • I have requested that the delivery date be pushed back to late September, so that’s when billing will start. The RPJH Band staff will keep you updated on a pick up date for virtual learners. We do not anticipate any hands on instrument assembly until much later than normal.

    • Some students may have been placed into a different instrument class than their assigned instrument. It may be necessary to change some instrument selections due to scheduling difficulties. We will be addressing these changes on an individual basis. Again, we appreciate your patience.

      • It is very easy for us to change your instrument selection with our vendors if a change is necessary.

    • If students missed the intrumnet selection process, they were placed in a beginner class and the RPJH band staff will place their intrument once school starts.

7th and 8th Grade Band Students:

    • Some students have had their band placements changed from the published placements last year. No student was demoted in bands, only promotions. This is due to the scheduling difficulties.

    • All students should be practicing 30 minutes a day: Scales, Technical exercises, music, etc.

Please feel free to send us your questions. We appreciate your continued support.
