I am extremely excited and honored to serve as the fourth principal of Savannah Lakes Elementary School. Over the past 25 years, I have worked with students and families in HISD, Fort Bend ISD and Alvin ISD. The last 6 years were spent serving the students and families at Manvel High School.
I have always had HIGH EXPECTATIONS for myself and those high expectations will be set for the students and staff of Savannah Lakes as well. My philosophy in education is one of empowering students to be thinkers, problem solves, and owning their educational experiences. This philosophy is based on my personal experiences. My parents instilled in me at a young age the importance of education, and my educational journey has been one filled with life lessons and knowledge. It has definitely provided an opportunity for me to accomplish many things. I am now committed to doing the same for the students and families at Savannah Lakes Elementary. I believe when a positive, passionate, and productive three-way partnership is developed with students, parents, and staff along with engaging, rigorous, and meaningful instruction, our students will excel. I am looking forward to creating a family atmosphere within this learning community that includes all stakeholders.
I am married to Mrs. Alfredia Foster and we have two sons Erric and Koby who are both Manvel High School Alumni.
I am looking forward to a great school year.
Rising Every day to Shine Bright,
Garnet A. Foster
