    About Me

My name is Roseanne Gatlin.  I am beginning my twelfth year as a WILDCAT!  I taught 4th grade Math and Science for 9 years,  but two years ago  I "graduated" to 5th Grade Math and absolutely LOVE it!  I attended UHCL and received my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2006.  My husband of 26 years, Darrell, was part of the first group of students to attend Walt Disney Elementary and in 1987 he was a proud graduate from Alvin High School.  Both of our children attended Walt Disney and went on to graduate from AHS.  Our oldest son, Justin, graduated from AHS in 2010 and is a pastor in Richwood.  Our youngest son, Travis, graduated from AHS in 2013 and will graduate this May from Texas A&M in College Station.  The most exciting thing and greatest blessing of the last year was becoming a Gram to Anastasia (pictured above)!  I consider it a tremendous privilege that parents entrust me with their child's time and education.  I love teaching Math and it is my goals to help children see the joy in learning. There is nothing more exciting to me then seeing a child really "get it" for the first time and the pride and sense of confidence it brings them.

Please sign up for Skyward, an electronic way for you to monitor your child's grades.  In addition, please register for Class Dojo. We use DoJo to communicate fun things happening in our classrooms and keep you informed of your child's behavior.  I look forward to working in cooperation with you this year!

    God Bless,

    Roseanne Gatlin
