    About Me

Welcome to my page!  My teaching experience includes six years in the 8th grade science classroom.  This is seventh year serving as the MAP (Magnet Academic Program) Coordinator and Advanced Academics Specialist.  I am very excited to serve at Manvel Junior High (where I attended junior high and began my teaching career) in this role.  I received my BS in Biology from Texas A&M University in 2006, and I graduated with my Master's in Education from the University of Houston in 2012.  My graduate studies focused on curriculum and instruction particularly focusing on mathematics, science, and technology integration in middle school classrooms.  I am passionate about working with our 21st Century learners and creating engaging learning environments.  In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband, my sons, and family.
