Education and Career: I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of North Texas with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.  After graduating, I substitute taught at Hood-Case Elementary (Alvin ISD) and found my true passion--teaching.  I began teaching the next year in 2001.  Since this time, I have taught 5th grade Math for ten years and three years as a Math Interventionist and Math Curriculum Specialist.  In 2019, I returned to my roots in the resource math classroom.  In this capacity, I am able to help students in a small group setting.  This allows for a direct and intense instruction in order to close any gaps in conceptual understanding for my students.  

Family:  My wife and I have been happily married for 17 years and have three children.  When not at school, we are quite busy with sports, music lessons, and Church.
