 I live on a little "farm" in Alvin, Texas, with my husband, who was my high school sweetheart, and two Australian Shepherds.  Togetwe raised three girls, one who has special needs, one who lives in Galveston and the other who lives in Austin.  Both graduated from the University of Texas (Hook 'em).  My youngest daughter was in the first graduating class at MHS in 2009 and has since earned her MBA from Texas State University. My middle daughter is the author of three books, each detailing different aspects of Galveston's history. In our free time, we love to take off in our RV and explore, hike, and enjoy the beauties of nature.

 

I have a passion for literature and I am a voracious reader.  My husband and I love to travel and experience new places and cultures.  I look forward to the interactions with my students that take place daily and sharing with them my love of literature and all things English.

 

I am proud to be a member of the inaugural staff of Manvel High School,  here when the doors opened. I am proud of our "Hoka Hey" tradition and consider it an honor to be serving my 17th year of teaching as a Manvel Maverick and as an Adjunct Professor of English for  Alvin Community College Dolphin for the last seven years.
