I live on a little "farm" in Alvin, Texas, with my husband, who was my high school sweetheart, and an Australian Shepherd named Mollie.  Together we raised three girls, one who has special needs, one who lives in Galveston and the other who lives in Austin.  Both graduated from the University of Texas (Hook 'em).  My youngest daughter was in the first graduating class at MHS in 2009 and has since earned her MBA from Texas State University. My middle daughter is Editor of Galveston Monthly Magazine and has published her first book, The Galveston Seawall Chronicles and will soon have published her third book with also details Galveston history.
We have a second home in Galveston and we enjoy spending weekends by the ocean and enjoying the sights and sounds of that wonderful city.
I have a passion for literature and I am a voracious reader.  My husband and I love to travel and experience new places and cultures.  I look forward to the interactions with my students that take place daily and sharing with them my love of literature and all things English.
I am proud to be a member of the inaugural staff of Manvel High School,  here when the doors opened. am proud of our "Hoka Hey" tradition and consider it an honor to be serving my 14th year of teaching as a Manvel Maverick.
