Hello My name is Drew Bettge,  I’m excited to teach your student art!

Originally from Houston, I graduated from Sharpstown High 1996, I worked many jobs such as a courier, cook , bike cabbie, and plumber before I finally became an art teacher after graduating Summa cum laude with a bachelor of fine art in sculpture from the University of Houston in 2008.

I now love the task I have of making students as creative as possible in the form of visual art.  Thinking creatively is essential to solving problems. If you can apply creativity and critical thinking skills to a challenging problem in school, you can apply them to any obstacle you encounter on the job. In this class I will teach students how to think independently, explore ideas and take risks. Experimentation is the best way to learn how to solve problems using creativity.
