    Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year at Nelson Elementary!   This will be a different year for us but your child's safety, feeling loved and learning is my top priorities.  You will find me at our campus providing support for students in reading skills of phonics, decoding, fluency and comprehension.  I believe it is my responsibility to provide a safe learning environment that encourages readers to take risks, challenge their reading abilities and experience success.  
     
    Personal:
    I live in Alvin with my husband for the last 24 years.  My most favorite things to do are being outside, reading and spoiling my dogs.
     
     
    Education/Work Experience:
    My Bachelors Degree in Education/Early Childhood is from UH Clear Lake and have a Masters in Administration from St. Thomas University.  I have taught in LaMarque, Hitchcock and now Alvin School Districts.  I'm excited to be starting my 22nd year teaching and am able to work with students doing what I love, READING!!
