• Mrs. Shireman’s Reading Class Syllabus


    • To improve reading comprehension and fluency
    • To improve spelling
    • To build oral language, vocabulary, and higher level thinking skills


    • Multi-Sensory Reading and Spelling (Books 1-4)
    • Developing Metacognitive Skills


    60% of the recorded grade will be based on participation in class and daily assignments. Teacher observation of student performance on oral activities, reading practices and spelling practices will be evaluated each two week period.

    40% of the recorded grade will consist major assignments, participation and tests.

    The final exam grade will consist of parts of the daily lessons.
