    Based on a point system, the highest scoring team represents Texas at the national USAD competition. All members of the winning team receive scholarships. Texas provides $150,000 in scholarship money each year. Registration fees and the Texas Education Agency contribute to this scholarship fund.The Academic Decathlon is the only competition to award “C” student’s scholarships!"

  • The team will be made up of 9 individuals, plus 1-2 alternate members. Three students each will represent the following GPA groupings: Honors (3.8-4.00); Scholastic (3.2-3.79); Varsity (0.00-3.199).
