Hi my name is Ms. Macias, and I am very excited to be joining the 5th grade team at Walt Disney Elementary! I am thrilled to be your child’s bilingual Language Arts, and Social Studies teacher. I’m looking forward to starting this year safely, and making learning a fun adventure with your child! 

I was born in Houston, Texas and went to college at the University of Houston-Downtown where I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.  After graduating I worked as a Youth Counselor with at-risk youth in CPS for 5 years.  I earned my alternative certification in elementary education in 2013. This will be my 7th year teaching and I love it!
