Updated August 4, 2020 - Subject to change based on direction from the State of Texas, Texas Education Agency, and local health authorities.

Alvin Independent School District, which proudly serves over 27,000 students, will proceed with its plans to safely reopen schools for the 2020-2021 academic year with a 3-week "virtual start" beginning on August 24, 2020. Then, on August 31, students will begin a phased reintroduction to on-campus learning. Between August 31 and September 14, students who have selected in-person instruction will attend campus on days designated for their grade level and they will continue learning online on non-designated days.
