It’s A Great Day To Be A Maverick!

I am elated to begin my third year as the proud Maverick Principal!

Last year presented many unique challenges. However, the resilience and positivity that each teacher and student possessed, showed great character and true Hoka Hey spirit. As a team, we achieved success in many ways.  Although, the traditional learning platform was compromised, we gleaned a plethora of technological advances that enhanced our learning environment.  We will continue to implement and practice those advances as we move forward.

During this school year, we will continue to build and restore positive relationships. We will provide engaging instruction and activities, both inside and outside of the classroom. We have been busy this summer recruiting and hiring the most qualified individuals to lead instruction in our classrooms, provide social and emotional support in our counseling suites, and leadership and guidance from our administrative offices.

Our school mission is Student Growth, Professional Growth!  We make the commitment to address the learning loss that our students experienced, as well as provide learning leaps for all Maverick students this year and the years to come. I have HIGH EXPECTATIONS for all students. I believe when students are provided engaging, rigorous, and meaningful instruction in a well-structured learning environment, they will meet those expectations. It is my responsibility to ensure that this takes place each day at MHS.

Again, we welcome all stakeholders to our school community as we continue a culture of pride and excellence.  Please feel free to contact me to learn ways to partner with us to ensure the best experience for your child.

    Hoka Hey!
