Welcome Jackets to the 2022-2023 school year.  This is my 4th year at Alvin High School and 8th year teaching overall.  I will be teaching AP as well as APA World History.  I graduated from Sul Ross State University with a B.A. and M.A. in History.  I have been married to my wife Christine for 4 years.  We have two daughters named Opal who is 3 years old and Imogen who is 1.  

I am excited about teaching Advanced World History this school year as it is my passion. I look forward to bringing that to all the students.  History is the window to the world that I would like to share with the next generation.  We will explore the history, cultures and lives of people from across the globe to better understand the world we live in today.  The courses will be rigorous and demand a lot of attention and hard work on the part of the students, but will be rewarding come the end of the school year.  The AP Course will prepare the students for the AP exam in May as well as prepare them to take collegiate level courses.  The APA class will prepare the students for successful completion of either AP or Dual Credit US History as a Junior.
