Hello, my name is Mr. Martinez, I have been teaching theatre for thirteen years, ten at the high school level and three at the junior high level. While teaching at South Houston High School, we competed in the TUTS Tommy Tunes Awards, and we were nominated for best lighting design, best scenic design and best set crew.
Previously, I worked for a non-profit Latino cultural arts organization as the Technical Director and resident lighting designer. I worked at the Cullen Performance at the University of Houston in the lighting and sound department and met many different artists from around the world, including popular music groups, Muse and Duran Duran. I have also worked with local Houston dance companies, theatre companies and local high schools as a lighting designer.
Teaching theatre is my passion and I’m honored to be a proud member of the The Off Broadway Theatre Family!
