Kevin HallHead Football Coach / Assistant Athletic DirectorKevin Hall is the Manvel Mavericks' Head Football Coach and an Assistant Athletic Director for Alvin ISD. Coach Hall is entering his 29th year in education. He is a graduate of Jasper High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. His wife Jodie teaches at Red Duke Elementary. He has two children. Kody is a sophomore football player at LSU, majoring in Sports Management. His daughter Madison is a sophomore at Texas Tech University majoring in Business. Coach Hall enjoys cooking, hunting, college football, hanging out with the family.

Kendrick Crumedy
Offensive Coordinator / Running Backs / Strength and Conditioning
Kendrick Crumedy is the offensive coordinator and running backs coach. He is in his 9th year of teaching at Manvel High School. Coach Crumedy teaches Government. He graduated from Sam Houston State University in May of 2008 with a degree in History and Secondary Education, and then again in 2010 with a Master's degree in Kinesiology - Sport Management emphasis. Coach Crumedy is married to Kimberly Montgomery Crumedy. They have 1 son, Kendrick Karter Crumedy. He is originally from Jasper, Texas and enjoys fishing, horseback riding and working out in his spare time.

David Gibbs
Assistant Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator / Head Powerlifting / Junior High Liaison
David Gibbs is the Manvel Mavericks' Assistant Head Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Coach Gibbs is entering his 29th year in education. He is a graduate of Jasper High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. His wife Katy is a counselor at Manvel High School. He has two children. Benjamin is a sophomore at Sam Houston State, majoring in Criminal Justice. Harrison is a freshmen at Texas A&M University in the Engineering department. Coach Gibbs enjoys playing golf, fishing, college football, hanging out with the family.

Lucas Saucedo
Co-Defensive Coordinator/Special Teams Coordintor/Defensive Ends
Lucas Saucedo is entering his 9th year of teaching and coaching at MHS. He teaches AP Macroeconomics and is also a varsity track coach. Coach Saucedo is a graduate of El Campo HS where he lettered in football, baseball, and track. Coach Saucedo went on to play baseball at the University of Incarnate Word before graduating from the University of Houston system. He went on to receive his Masters of Science in Sport Management from Texas A&M University. Coach Saucedo is married to Dana, a first grade dual language teacher at Wilder Elementary. The couple has two children: Aden (11) and Natalie (7). Coach Saucedo and his family attend St. Angela Merici Catholic Church and enjoy spending time outdoors and at sporting events.

Greg Bennett
Varsity Wide Receivers
Head Boys Track Coach
Gregory Bennett is entering his 19h year of teaching and coaching, but his 8th year as the receivers coach at MHS. He is a native of Miami, Fla., and attended Miami Central HS, where he was a quarterback and receiver on the football team; he also played basketball. He was a USA Today and Parade All-American. Coach Bennett received a Football scholarship to University of Louisville. Coach Bennett graduated from Prairie View A&M with a Master’s degree in Education. Coach Bennett has four boys: Ashton (25), Austin (23), both played football for Manvel. Arik (18) plays football at Independence Community College and Braylen (5). During his free time, Coach Bennett likes to golf, fish and hunt.

Dewan Edmonson
Outside Linebackers / Assistant BaseballDewan Edmonson is beginning his 14th year in Alvin ISD – his 12th as the outside linebacker coach at MHS. Coach Edmonson was born in Houston and played football and baseball at Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas. Coach Edmonson earned a baseball scholarship to Lee College and graduated from University of Houston Clear Lake with a bachelor’s degree in fitness and human performance. Coach Edmonson is married to LaGenia, an assistant principal at Harby Junior High in Alvin ISD. The couple has three beautiful children: Ansley (29) who is an Engineer for Kinder Morgan (Husband Brandon Artis), Dewan Jr. (23) who played football and Graduated from Abilene Christian University is a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Jaden (14) who will be a freshman at Manvel High School. Coach Edmonson worships at Lakewood Church in Houston and enjoys doing things with his family and fishing in his spare time.

Jacob Hancock
Head Freshmen Football / Assistant BaseballJacob Hancock is entering his 3rd year at Manvel. He is from Turkey, TX, a small town in the Texas Panhandle. He graduated from Valley High School where he played football, basketball, track, and tennis. After high school he played football at West Texas A&M University and earned a degree in Business Management. Coach Hancock is a member of New Hope Church. He enjoys hanging out with friends and family, hunting, fishing, golf, and watching sports. He is currently engaged to Erica Honore. The two plan to get married next July.

Cameron HerzogCornerbacks / Assistant Track
Cameron Herzog began his coaching at Manvel High School and is in his 9th year of coaching. Coach Herzog is a Geometry teacher. Coach Herzog, an Alvin, Texas native, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. He is married to his beautiful wife, Nydia, who is a environmental science teacher at Manvel High School and currently training to obtain her pro fitness card with the WBFF. They have 4 children; David, Zoe, Penelope and Jude. David graduated from Manvel High School last year and Zoe is a sophomore at Manvel High School and will be a 2 year varsity soccer player this year. Penelope is in 1st grade and Jude is in kindergarden. Penelope is a cheerleader and Jude is playing his first year of peewee football for the Manvel Texans this year. The Herzog family has 3 dogs; a catahoula mix named Odin, A Boston terrier named Ziggy, and an American bully named Muchacho. Coach Herzog enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, hunting and attending sporting events. The Herzog family attends New Hope Church.

William (Pat) Howardfreshmen football / Assistant trackBorn and raised in La Marque, Tx. Coach Howard graduated from La Marque High School in 2000, lettering in football (3 years), Baseball (4 years), Track and Field (2 years), and Powerlifting (1 year). After graduation, Howard attended the University of Arizona on a football scholarship. While there, he played baseball as well as football. After graduating with a Bachelors in Communication, Coach Howard pursued his professional football career. After spending the 2005 season on the Arizona Cardinals practice squad, he hung up his cleats and moved back to Texas. In 2010, Coach Howard found his calling and began his career in teaching and coaching. Coach Howard has been apart of the AlvinISD family for the past 6 years. He received his Masters in Education August 2017. He currently coaches freshmen football and track for Manvel High School. Coach Howard is married (Tiffany Howard) with two sons (Drake 9, Paxton 2) and one on the way (December 2018). He enjoys riding his motorcycle with his MC club ,riding his horse (Big Guy) during trail rides in the country, and spending time in "Aruba".

Kenneth JacksonFreshman Football / Assistant BasketballKenneth Jackson is in his 9th year of coaching and his 4rd year at Manvel. Coach Jackson is originally from San Augustin TX. He attended college at Stephen F. Austin where he earned a degree in Kinesiology. He is married to Ndidika Jackson and they have two girls, Kamille and Kadia. He enjoys playing basketball, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

David Jones is in his 16th year of teaching and coaching - his 11th with Alvin ISD and 6th year at MHS. He has been married for 21 years to Dianna Jones, who is a PE teacher and is the Head Girl's Track Coach at MHS. The couple has two sons: David (28) Sales Manager with ABC Supply in Dallas and Lance (18), a Freshman at Mary Hardin Baylor, playing football. Coach Jones graduated from U.M.H.B., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sport Science, with a minor in History. Coach Jones is the Mavericks’ Offensive Line coach and assistant Golf coach. Coach Jones attends New Hope Church and enjoys Fishing/Hunting and spending time with family and friends.

Steven McFadden
Defensive Tackles / Head JV Football / Assistant Track
Steven McFadden is entering his 6th year in Alvin ISD and his 3rd year at MHS. Coach McFadden went to Wheatley HS in Houston where he lettered in football, basketball, track and golf. During his time at Wheatley he became a Blue chip All American which led him to receiving a football scholarship to Texas Tech where he went on to play offensive tackle. He has a Masters of Science in Education with a specialization of Technology integration within the classroom. Coach McFadden is married and his wife is the art teacher at Pomona Elementary. The couple have two daughters: Ava (13) and Chloe (8). Coach McFadden and his family attend Second Baptist South Campus and enjoy attending all types of athletic events and traveling.

Trey PayneQuarterbacks / Assistant Track
Trey Payne began his coaching at La Grange High School and is in his 9th year of coaching. He has spent time in Katy ISD and Pearland ISD. Coach Payne is a Special Education teacher. Coach Payne, a La Marque, Texas native, received his undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and his graduate degree from Grand Canyon University. He is married to his beautiful wife, Christina, who is the Executive Director of The Education Foundation in TCISD. They have 2 daughters- Spencer and SinClair. Spencer is 4 years old and Baby SinClair is 6 months old. Spencer is involved in gymnastics and dance. Coach Payne enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, and traveling. The Herzog family attends The Church Without Walls in Katy.

Brian Roberts
Freshman Football / Assistant Baseball
Brian Roberts is in his 22nd year of teaching/coaching and his 2nd year at Manvel. Coach Roberts has had teaching stops at First Colony Middle School, Clements High School, Westfield High School and most recently he spent 11 years at Houston Lamar High School. Coach Roberts played college baseball at Benedictine University, McHenry County College and he received his degree in History and Education from Texas Lutheran University where he played baseball for 2 seasons. Coach Roberts recently celbrated his 15th year of marriage to the lovely Angie Roberts, who is also an educator at Baines Middle School in Fort Bend ISD. They have an adopted son Gabriel who is 11 years old and in the 5th grade and plays flag football and baseball. Coach is an avid sports fan who is still celebrating the Chicago Cubs World Series Championship. The Roberts live in Sienna Plantation and they are members of New Hope Church in Manvel.

Brian RobinsonWide receivers / Freshmen Basketball
Brian Robinson is in his 11th year of coaching and his 7th year at Manvel. Coach Robinson is originally from Daytona Beach, FL. He played for University of Houston, where he finished his playing career ranked in the top ten for receptions with 138 career catches. Coach Rob earned a degree in Kinesiology. He also attended University of Houston-Clear Lake where he earned his master's degree in education administration. He is married to Angie and they have two boys, Champ and Chief. He enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Carnell White IIAssistant Offensive Line / Assistant Basketball
Coach White is entering his 21th year as an educator. He spent 18 years as a math teacher/coach and 2 years as an Assistant Principal. Coach White is a native of Miami, Fl, where he attended Miami Carol City Sr. High School. After high school, he attended Texas Southern University on a football scholarship. While attending Texas Southern, Coach White was a 4 year starter and named All Conference for 2 years. Carnell also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from TSU. Coach White earned a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Coach White is married to his lovely wife Constance, who is an Assistant Principal at Stewart Elementary in Hitchcock ISD. They have 4 children; Carmen, Carnell III, Carson, and Carissa. Coach White is a Deacon at The Carpenter’s House in La Marque, TX and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Coach White loves spending time with his family, loves to travel, cook, and attend sporting events.
