August Lee, U-Z & 504
I am excited to start my second year at AHS! It will be my 17th year in Alvin ISD, and my 23-year total in secondary education.
My personal story is very similar to many students' as I was an at-risk student myself. I understand the reality of the dynamics in our emotional make-up that make it a challenge to rise up, set goals, and charge the world with both feet on the ground. I have dedicated my last 23 years to giving teenagers hope, confidence, and guidance to their life path and helping them find their purpose.
I am serving AHS students as the 504 and RTI coordinator as well as the U-Z counselor. My goal is to provide a foundation for safe and positive learning as I work with students regarding self-awareness and self-advocacy not only in the learning environment but in other areas of their life, too. I am excited to build positive relationships with my students and set goals for academic excellence and a healthy mind.
