• Advanced Placement courses at Shadow Creek High School represent the highest level of learning available to our students and provide students with the opportunity for a profound level of learning, not found in any other programs or courses available on our campus. AP courses are designed to prepare students for honors-level university work, as well as for the corresponding AP Exam, which can earn them university credit.  Students who score a 3, 4, or 5 can receive university credit for that particular course, depending on the university's credit policy.  All Texas public universities must award credit for scores of 3 or higher on AP exams.
AP courses are extremely rigorous and challenging.  These classes are unlike anything our students have ever attempted, as are the effort level and motivation required to be successful.  It is important to understand that while we believe that every student has the potential to be successful in AP courses, not every AP course is the right fit for every student.
