Degrees and Certifications:
I attended the University of Houston and graduated in 1994. Upon graduating, I taught Spanish in Pasadena ISD for 11 years. I returned to college to get my Masters in Educational Leadership in 1998. I decided to return to school and get my Library Science degree in 2003 and that was one of the best decisions of my life. I've been working in the Library since 2005 and loving it.
For the past 11 years I've been in the Alvin High school library but now look forward to working in the Library at Manvel High! I hope to play a large part in helping our students and staff with all their needs as well as inspiring our students to reach for the stars with their feet on the ground.
I whole-heartedly believe that there is a correlation between reading and academic success. Therefore, I hope to instill a love of reading in our students that will help them succeed academically in their high school career and beyond.
