Welcome!

My name is Rita Pourchot and I am the School Counselor at Mark Twain Elementary. It is an honor to work with the students, families, and staff at Mark Twain. This is my 15th year at Alvin I.S.D. and my 5th year as a school counselor. I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Master of Education in Counseling. I also graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.

I am a parent of two beautiful girls and one son. I have a seventh grader, a fourth grader, and a one year old. 

I look forward to assisting in making this a great school year.
