Meng is an Alvin High School graduate. The former All-Southland Conference athlete helped guide the SFA women to seven consecutive Southland Conference Track and Field titles (three indoors, three outdoors, and one cross country) during her career. Meng has been a key part of twelve conference titles since the conclusion of her career. She helped coach the Ladyjack distance squad during the track and field team's run to its conference-record seventh and eighth straight league titles. During the 2012 cross country season, the SFA women tacked on another team title.

In her first three years at Manvel High School, Meng coached the Mavericks to a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place finish in district, and the Lady Mavs to a 1st place finish and made an apperance at the 6A Region III Cross Country Meet, multiple apperances to the 5A Region III Cross Country Meet, and had an individual qualify for the State Cross Country Meet and Track Meet. 

Meng graduated from SFA in spring of 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology and in 2014 with a Masters Degree in Secondary Education. She is married to Alex Meng, a Head Softball Coach, Assistant Football Coach and Biology teacher at Elkins High School. Alex and Marie also have a one year old daughter, Rowan Meng. 

Meng is in her fourth year of coaching at Manvel High School and will be Co-Teaching English 1 & 2. 

Coach Driver is entering his 3rd year at Manvel High School, and his 2nd year coaching Cross Country. He is originally from Humble, Texas and graduated from Atascocita High School before competing in athletics for four years at LeTourneau University. Coach Driver is also a math teacher, who currently teaches Geometry at Manvel. He is married to his wife, Ashley, who is an Orthodontic assistant at McGrory Orthodontics in Pearland. Together, they have a 2 year old daughter named Rylie.
