    Assistive Technology
Assistive technology specialists conduct assistive technology evaluations and provide support/training for teachers and students regarding the implementation of assistive technology in the classroom.
Assistive technology devices are items, pieces of equipment, or product systems, that are used to increase, maintain, and improve functional capabilities of a child with a disability. These items may be purchased commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized. The devices do not however, include medical devices that are surgically implanted, or the replacement of such devices.
