Interested in becoming an AP Ambassador?
AP Ambassadors is a service organization that consists of AP students that represent the AISD Advanced Placement program by serving the district and community at various academic and extracurricular events. Membership in the organization is a privilege and students are expected to maintain their AP enrollment. These students are often called on to volunteer at events that require them to work with students, parents, teachers and administrators, therefore, students are held to very high expectations.
In order to be considered for an AP Ambassador position, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled and passing a minimum of 2 AP courses and 1 APA course or 3 AP courses
- No discipline referrals
- Taken and passed at least one AP exam with a 3 or higher
- Ability to volunteer for two events each semester
Students who want to be a part of AP Ambassadors will also be required to contact three teachers to have them submit teacher evaluation forms through Google Drive. You must have taken a core class from at least two of the teachers, and at least one of the three must be an AP teacher. Teachers will be asked about the academic integrity of each student. Failure to adhere to the AISD Academic Integrity Guidelines will result in exclusion for consideration or removal from the AP Ambassador organization.
We look forward to meeting our new qualifiers and encourage students to challenge themselves to become part of this prestigious organization.
Invitations will be sent to qualifying students. Please see Mrs. Root in C138 with any questions.
