• Below are the questions that the Technology Department gets asked most frequently.  
    Q: I'm new to AISD. How do I access the internet and log into the computer?
    A: Staff members must receive login information from Human Resources.  Students receive login information from their campus.
    Q: Can I bring my personal device (Laptop, iPad, Kindle, etc.) to Alvin ISD?
    A: Yes. 
    Q: What is the AISD Cloud?
    A: The AISD Cloud is an online computing environment that provides online access for applications, file storage, network files, learning and teaching resources,   educational apps, and email from anywhere, anytime via any device. To access the AISD Cloud, enter "cloud.alvinisd.net" in your browser and use your current network ID and password to login.  
    Q: May I use a network cable that is longer than 15 feet?
    A: To avoid network performance issues, all network cables should be no longer than 15 feet. 
    Q: Can I get Outlook email on my cell phone?
    A: Smart phones that are capable of receiving email may set up district email.  Create a Help Desk request through Eduphoria for assistance.
    Q: My district computers/devices are not working properly. What do I do?
    A: To report a technology issue you can submit a Help Desk request through Eduphoria.
    Q: I need additional training on my Promethean board.  Who should I contact?
    A: Navigate to the Instructional Technology section under Technology Services and contact the appropriate staff member for your grade level.
    Q: What if I have forgotten my username and/or password for Skyward Family Access?
    A: For username, contact the front office staff at the student's campus.  For password, enter the username and click on the "Forgot Password" link and the system will prompt you with the security question you entered during account creation.  Once you've correctly answered the security question, the system will prompt you to create a new password.
    Q: When I log into Skyward Family Access, I do not see all of my children listed.
    A: Contact the front office at the student's campus.
    Q: Once a teacher enters grades, how soon will I be able to view them through Skyward Family Access?
    A: Immediately.  Once a teacher enters grades and saves them, they are available to parents.
    Q: I signed up for eNews, but I have not received any emails.
    A: Check your spam or junk folder to see if the enrollment email was placed there by mistake.  If located, click on the link provided in the enrollment email to complete your registration.  If your registration has been confirmed and you are not receiving eNews, check with the front office to verify your email address on file.
    Q: I have forgotten my employee ID number.
    A: Contact your campus or department secretary.
