Art, Room 122
I am incredibly excited to be returning to the Harby family for the 2019-20 school year! I come to Alvin ISD from museum education and collections management. I hold my M.A. in Museum Administration from Johns Hopkins University, my B.A. in Applied Design & Visual Arts from University of Houston Clear Lake, and my A.A. in Studio Art from Alvin Community College.
This year, we're going to focus on foundations (Elements of Art, Principles of Design, and color theory) as well as some advanced applications (3-dimensional art/kinetic sculptures, textiles, and street art). I want to introduce my students to new materials and media, as well as start laying a solid foundation in art history. My hope is that every student leaves my class with a newfound appreciation for the arts whether or not they continue making art on their own.
