    About Me
Born and raised in Texas, I moved to the Houston area in seventh grade. My father travelled for a living when I was growing up, so I was fortunate to visit several states--23 to date. I love to travel and have a long Bucket List of places around the world I eventually hope to visit and things I want to do. Amongst my other likes are cooking, music, movies, sunsets, the beach, Eiffel Towers, roller coasters, miniature snow globes, writing, Mexican food, and BOOKS!
I am a wife and mom. My husband Shane is the Senior Electrical Designer for an engineering firm and plays bass in a blues band. I also have two children. My son Jordan is 20. He graduated from high school in 2016, played baseball since he was four, and now umpires games in Houston and Webster. Elizabeth, my 17 year old daughter, is a senior this year. She's a Yellowjacket, too, a dual credit student, and an active member of AHS's MCJROTC programs. We all love animals and have rescued and found homes for many over the years. Currently we have three dogs, a rabbit, and a bearded dragon.
In my spare time I experiment with recipes, listen to live music, and do some freelance writing. I would love to start my own catering business and hope to one day publish a book or two. This is my fourteenth year of teaching. For ten years I taught 7th and 8th grade reading and writing, and now I teach English II. I look forward to getting to know you and your families. It's going to be a great year!
