Attention PreK and Kinder Parents:
Accidents happen. From playground puddles to tummy troubles, there may come a time when your child needs a change of clothes. Please send a complete change of clothing in a bag, with your child's name on it. The clothing will remain in your child's backpack until it is needed.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Bus & Day Care Riders (Arrival & Dismissal)
- All bus and day care riders will be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school.
- The opportunity to ride an Alvin ISD school bus is a privilege. Certain expectations for appropriate conduct are designated to ensure the safety of all students. Parents will be notified by the transportation department of any students who do not follow bus rules. Students are allowed to ride their regular bus only and cannot ride home with a friend or on another bus.
Morning Car Rider Drop-Off Procedure
- All car rider students will be dropped off on the south side of the building (front of the building facing Hwy 6).
- Enter the drive from School Road only.
- Follow the arrows (as shown on the map below). Two lanes will merge into one; stay to the right along the red curb.
- For your child's safety, all students will exit vehicles from the passenger side of the vehicle along the curb.
- Please do not park and walk your child across the car rider line. Please stay inside your vehicle.
Afternoon Car Rider Pick-Up
- All car rider students will be picked up on the south side of the building (front of the building facing Hwy 6).
- Enter the drive from School Road only.
- Please have your Car Rider placard visible in the front window of your vehicle. If a tag is not visible, you must park your vehicle and go into the front office with your state ID to get a placard.
- Please follow the arrows and your student will be loaded on the passenger side of your vehicle along the curb.
- Do not pass other vehicles. Please practice safety, and be courteous and respectful to other drivers.

Hours of Operation
Office Hours:7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.7:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m.Students who miss any part of the instructional day will need to notify our registrar in writing within 3 school days of the absence. We will not be having visitors at this time. Please continue to check back for updates.
Morning Drop Off
For safety, please have your child get out on the right side of the car. If your child needs assistance, you may get out and assist them, but please assist them on the right side near the curb.
Identification:
When we are accepting visitors again, all visitors must check in through our front office and will be required to leave their driver's license or other form of photo identification with our front office staff.
You will recieve a visitor badge to enter the building.
Please return the visitor badge and pick up your ID before leaving campus.
Volunteers:
In order to volunteer with our students, including field trips and other campus events, you must complete a volunteer background check. Please contact our office to find out how you can volunteer at EC Mason.

Outside Food
No outside food deliveries for students will be accepted.

Attendance
Regular school attendance is crucial for student learning. Absences can disrupt the student’s ability to master skills and concepts taught in class. Parents and students need to make every effort to be on time and in school daily.
Alvin ISD requires written documentation for absences.
