RoboLonghorns Kevin Panjikkaran, Vivek Patel, and Audrey Brown from Nolan Ryan Junior High's Robotics class unveiled their solar powered BMRS (Biological Martian Regolith Surveyor) at the University of Houston Mars Rover competition this past Saturday afternoon. Their mission...to search for organic matter or past evidence of life on Mars. They were destined for first place in their division. This is one of the hardest working teams we have ever seen and certainly the most well orchestrated team due to their unbelievable teamwork. They competed against 236 other models from 43 schools and 63 different classrooms. They were told that they had the best presentation that they had seen in years and that they should come and work for NASA! Thanks go out to all of the parents that supported these students during their presentation. This is a huge accomplishment and we could not be prouder of this team.
