I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library. ~Jorge Luis Borges
to be a magic carpet for learning, linking, and critical thinking so that all children are empowered to become lifelong effective and creative users of information and ideas and active and helpful citizens in our world.
The library is open for students from 7:30-3:00 daily so that students can trade books often. Each class visits the library on the same day every week.

The librarian is Mrs. Debbie Nance. She has lived in Alvin all her life. She loves reading, playing guitar, and hanging out with her puppets. Residing in the library with Mrs. Nance and our library assistant, Mrs. Maricella Pena, are twelve tropical fish, one blue-tongued skink (Lizzie), one cockatiel (Shegecko), and one chinchilla (Chi-Chi). Mrs. Nance's undergraduate degree is from University of Houston and her master's degree is from UHCL. She likes to be called the Queen of the Library. |
