SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR: The book fair will be held October 25th - 29th in the multi-purpose room. We will be open daily by 8:15 and will have extended hours during our Open House on Tuesday, Oct. 26th from 5:30 - 7:00. Come by and take a look at the new 2010 titles available. 6th GR BOOK CLUB IS HERE! Do you love to read? Join our book club and meet in the library to talk about some of your favorite books!
GUERILLA GAMES: Do you have a great memory AND love to read? Then we need you! Form a team of 6 students during September and register to participate in our annual Guerilla Games. Tactical meetings will be held in the library beginning in October. Competitions in February and March. Stay tuned for more information. SEPTEMBER IS LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH: Public library registration forms will be available in the library all month. Check out the 10 great reasons to get one today!
ACCELERATED READER: AR Testing will be available at NRJH from 8:10 to 4:15 p.m. beginning in September. Everyone who earns over 600 points will be eligible to attend the Barnes & Noble field trip May, 2011 along with our Lone Star readers. Reading takes you places! NRJH READS: This school year we will continue to award readers with more free books. Each time a student reads a book, they will come by the library and put their name in the raffle box. At the end of every month, Mrs. Landry will draw 3 lucky winners who will receive a prize. Congrats to our May winners! Remember, Longhorns, "Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity."
LONE STAR CHALLENGE: Students who read and pass tests on 20 of the 2010-2011 Lone Star titles will enjoy a field trip to Barnes and Noble in May of 2011. On the field trip, students will select books for our library and then be treated to lunch and a book of their choice.
