Employees of the Purchasing Department, as well as all other AISD employees are required to decline the offer of gifts or favors that might influence or be construed to influence the purchase of goods or services utilizing district funds.
It is the mission of the AISD Purchasing Department to support the district by establishing policies and procedures for purchasing products, materials, and services at the best value in a manner consistent with local, state, and federal ordinances, regulations, Board of Education policies, and sound ethical business practices. Effective purchasing is a cooperative venture between the Purchasing Department, district staff, and approved vendors.
