Library Resources

The mission of the Alvin ISD Library Program is to ensure that students and staff are effective evaluators and users of ideas, information and resources which will enable them to be literate life-long learners equipped with strategies to meet the diverse needs of the 21st century.

Alvin ISD library staff will accomplish this by:

  • providing flexible and equitable access to information and resources in multiple formats.
  • nurturing an interest in reading and appreciation of literature.
  • collaborating with teachers to design learning experiences to meet the needs of the students.
  • communicating and modeling ethical use of information and technology resources.
