SD Greetings!  I am Ms. Deitch, one of the counselors here at Alvin Jr. High.  I started my education on the east coast where I went to school and graduated from Caesar Rodney High School.  I attended college at the University of Wisconsin.  Go Badgers!!  I earned by B.A. in Psychology.  After graduating from college, I decided to move to the great state of Texas.   I started my career teaching students with severe emotional needs in Alvin ISD.  I eventually moved to Pearland ISD to teach Special Education while perusing my Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.  Upon completing the program, I moved back to Alvin ISD and to Alvin Jr. High where I have been for the last four years. I enjoy working at Alvin Jr. High and look forward to another GREAT school year.

Hello, I am Mrs. Briseño. This is my first year as counselor at Alvin Junior High.  I started my teaching career fourteen years ago. Throughout my career,  I have taught elementary,  junior high, and high school.  I previously served the students of Fairmont Christian Center for two years before spending 11 years teaching in Pasadena ISD.  I transitioned to Alvin ISD last school year and taught 2nd grade bilingual students at Alvin Primary. This school year,  I am honored to join the Alvin Junior High family and I look forward to serving and meeting the needs of our students, parents, and community.
