Points of Pride

  ACADEMIC

  · AJH science teachers were the only teachers from our district to present at the CAST conference.

  · AJH has been an exemplary or recognized campus since 2009!!

  · Our campus is the recipient of TEA’s Gold Performance Acknowledgement for Social Studies.  At least 25 percent of our 8th grade students scored at or above the "Commended Performance" standard on the social studies portion of the TAKS test.

  · AJH has scored at or above the national norm in all categories tested on the ACT Explore test for the past two years.

  · The Alvin Education Foundation awarded our Life Skills teacher, Mrs. Biasini, a $980 grant.  The funds will help students learn vocational skills as they prepare for their future jobs.
